Apex Mountain Resort (Downhill Skiing)

Apex Mountain Resort is a pleasant family destination considered by many to have some of the best soft champagne powder in the Okanagan Valley. Located a short distance away from Penticton, this resort offers a wide selection of excellent skiing terrain that will challenge a rider of any skill level. Apex Mountain is recognized as a National Training Centre for Aerials and Moguls and offers a rich variety of alpine runs aimed for advanced skiers and snowboarders. Those who seek a more thrilling experience can spend a day in one of the two terrain parks featuring a good selection of rails, slopes, and boxes. With a large range of green and blue downhill runs, beginner and intermediate level riders will have equally as much fun and an unforgettable experience at Apex.

Apex Mountain Resort is a popular winter playground and has a lot more to offer in addition to alpine skiing and snowboarding. Go snow tubing at the resort’s tube park, explore the mountain on cross country skis or snowshoes, play a game of hockey, or grab your skates and glide on a one kilometer loop trail through the winter forest.

The cozy and friendly Apex village has all that is needed for a fun après ski time. Have a warm cup of coffee, dine at of the mountain restaurants of bars, soak in a hot tub, or visit the nearest spa and massage salon. In addition, virtually all accommodations at the village offer ski-in/ski-out access.
