Big White Ski Resort (Downhill Skiing)

The Big White Resort, famous for its largest ski-in/ski-out village in Canada, is one of the most popular winter resorts in British Columbia. Located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, this resort enjoys a consistent and predictable snow fall throughout the winter season and was awarded the “Best Powder” by Ski Canada Magazine in 2008!

This large mountain is a perfect getaway for all winter lovers. With over 1038 hectares (2565 acres) of skiable terrain, 777m (2,550 ft) vertical drop, 118 marked downhill runs, and a world class 120-meter (400ft) long Half Pipe with 12-foot transitional walls, skiers and snowboarders of all levels from beginners to experts are guaranteed to have a lot of fun at the Big White.

While skiing and snowboarding are the primary activities, this family resort has a lot more to offer to the visitors: cross country skiing and snowshoeing, snowmobiling, horse and dog sleigh riding, outdoor ice skating, hockey, Sno-Limo, snow tubing at the largest Tube Park in North America are among the other popular activities at the Big White.

At the end of the day the resort offers excellent night entertainment and après ski activities. Relax at a luxury spa, soak in a steaming hot tub, watch one of the local shows or fireworks, or do some shopping. When it comes to food, the Big White has it all: a grocery store, restaurants, delis, lounges, pubs, coffee shops and bakeries.

The resort has a good selection for night accommodations and excellent deals on Stay-and-Ski packages at certain times of the season. There are four village hotels, 25 condo or town house complexes, 244 vacation homes and two hostels.
