Grouse Mountain (Downhill Skiing)

Grouse Mountain, also known as the Peak of Vancouver, is located just 20 minutes away from downtown Vancouver and is one of the most popular and recognizable tourist destinations in the city. The lights of the mountain “hovering” high in the night sky above Vancouver are visible from virtually any place in the city. Your visit starts with a breathtaking 1-mile ride to the top of the mountain on the North America’s largest aerial tramway. This four-season resort offers a great deal of outdoor adventures at any time of the year, from beautiful views of Vancouver and the Pacific Ocean to Alpine Skiing and Helicopter tours.

Grouse Mountain is a perfect place to enjoy a winter day: glide on a 745-square-meter (8000-sq-ft) Ice Skating Pond, go snowshoeing on one of the four groomed hiking trails, enjoy a sleigh ride through the snowy mountain forest, ride in style on a snow-limo, challenge yourself for a journey on Mountain Ziplines across the peaks of Grouse and Dam Mountains at 80 km/h, get an adrenaline rush on the local alpine ski runs, or go for a scenic Helicopter tour.

Summer months offer no less fun: the Mountain Ziplines, enjoyable hiking trails, scenic chairlift rides, wildlife viewing, mountain paragliding, helicopter tours, and various entertainment shows (Theater in the Sky, Lumberjack show, and Birds in Motion).

At the end of the busy day treat yourself at one of the mountain’s restaurants: the Observatory for fine dining, the Altitudes Bistro for contemporary dining, and various casual dining cafes.
