A beautiful winery and an interesting tour

Submitted by anita on January 9, 2010

My husband and myself visited Mission Hill winery on our way to Vancouver in July 2005. We went on the "heritage" winery tour which lasted for about 1 hour. The winery is very busy and popular with visitors in the summer, and so our tour group was large - about 20 people. The tour guide talked about the design of the buildings at the winery, then took us down to see the cellars which had rows upon rows of wooden barrels where wine is aged. Finally, we went to the tasting room where we got to sample some wines while our guide explained the proper wine tasting techniques. Overall I enjoyed the tour very much and highly recommend it since it's so reasonably priced and very informative.
