Silver Star Mountain Resort (Downhill Skiing)

Silver Star Mountain Resort is a family winter vacation wonderland located in the scenic Northern Okanagan Valley. This popular resort, famous for its champagne dry powder, offers a rich selection of facilities and activities from alpine skiing and snowboarding to luxury accommodations, fine dining and night entertainment. Voted “Best Powder”, “Best Weather”, “Best Terrain Park” and “Best Place to Learn from the Pros” by the Ski Canada Magazine, Silver Star Resort has something exciting for everyone.

The mountain has two distinct ski areas: one is for beginners and intermediates and the second one is for expert and advanced skiers. With the annual snowfall of 700 cm (23 ft), 115 marked runs, and a vertical drop of 760 meters (2500 ft), this resort is a perfect destination to inspire your senses. The 6.5-hectare (16-acre) terrain park, designed for snowboarders and skiers of all levels, has an excellent selection of rails, table tops, setup jumps and spines.

Silver Star is voted the number one Nordic destination North America by the Forbes Magazine offering over 60 km of groomed trails for cross country skiing and snowshoeing. You can also spend an unforgettable day having fun at the tube park, ice skating, playing hockey, or touring the winter forest on a dog sleigh.

At the end of the day explore the quaint Victoria style mountain village, offering ski-in/ski-out access to the resort’s hotels. Brightly colored store facades and boarded sidewalks offer a unique atmosphere of fun, and excitement, especially after dark when the whole village is beautifully lit and full of life. A variety of shops, restaurants, bars, lounges and entertainment events make your après ski time an exciting experience on its own.
