Big Bar Lake Provincial Park

Big Bar Lake Park is nestled among rolling hills in the heart of the Caribou ranchland country 42 km northwest of Clinton, on the shore of the beautiful Big Bar Lake. A variety of activities is available at this park, including swimming from a scenic beach, as well as kayaking and canoeing on the clear waters of the 5-km long Big Bar Lake. Fishing is a very popular pastime here, as the lake is stocked yearly and contains large rainbow trout. The 3.5-km long Otter Marsh Trail meanders through wetlands at the north end of Big Bar Lake and offers excellent opportunities to observe wildlife, such as waterfowl, beavers, and coyotes. Horseback riding outings can be arranged through several guest ranches located near the park.
