East Barriere Lake Recreation Site

Submitted by Guest on August 3, 2010

Spent the August Long weekend at this site - although there really isn't a beach, there a nice little alcoves you can spend the day at. Lots of trails for ATV's and a nice walk beside the lake. Swimming was nice. Campground was very noisy until around 11:00 - too many people sharing their taste in music with the entire camp site. I have been to a number of forestry sites and this was by far the noisiest with music, generators and loud adults (probably trying to talk over the music). Friends were there prior to the long weekend and said it was definitely quieter. Also, always remember the outhouse seat must be down and door open when you exit or the campground host will need to set you straight! Would not go again on a weekend.
