Elk Falls Provincial Park

Elk Falls Provincial Park is located just 3 km northwest of the town of Campbell River and features a beautiful 25-meter waterfall plunging into a deep gorge. This peaceful park offers riverside camping and is a prime year-round salmon fishing destination. Depending on the time of the year, Campbell River provides an excellent opportunity for catching Chinook and coho salmon as well as Steelhead trout. The nearby lakes are stocked annually with Rainbow, Cutthroat, and Dolly Varden trout. The park has over 6 km of trails leading to various points of interest, such as the Elk Falls, the Quinsam Fish Hatchery, and a large stand of old-growth Douglas Firs. While staying at this park, visitors can explore the nearby community of Campbell River, known as "The Salmon Capital of the World", as well as Quadra and Cortes Islands.
