Englishman River Falls Provincial Park

This park is situated amidst the lush mixed forest of Douglas firs, cedars, hemlocks, and maples. Among its most distinctive attractions are two spectacular waterfalls cascading into the deep pool at the bottom of the canyon. Visitors can enjoy the numerous hiking trails meandering through the forest and along the river, and, in summer, can take a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear pool at the bottom of the lower falls. This park provides a convenient base for exploring the many attractions of the Central Vancouver Island, including the sheltered sandy beaches of Parksville a short distance to the east, and the magnificent trees of the Cathedral Grove at MacMillan Park to the west.
