Gavin Lake Recreation Site


This site is located in an open area on Gavin Lake next to the Education Centre at UBC Alex Fraser Research Forest. The site provides access to a network of trails suitable for hiking, biking, and nature study. Gavin Lake is naturally stocked with rainbow trout. Fishing and canoeing can be enjoyed on the lake.

Access By: Road (RV accessible)

From Highway 97 at 150 Mile House, turn east towards the communities of Likely and Horsefly.  After 4 kms, take the left fork (Likely Rd.) and follow this for 44 km. Turn South on the Gavin Lake Road, follow for 8km, turn into the Education Center, just before the center turn left towards the lake.
