Helmer Lake Recreation Site

 

This recreation site is located in a high elevation area between Merritt and Kamloops, just off Highway 5 (the Coquihalla Highway). The site, found at the south end of Helmer Lake, is accessible by RVs. Activities that can be enjoyed here are fishing for rainbow trout and canoeing in the summer and fall, and snowmobiling in the winter.

From the Coquihalla Highway (Highway 5) take Helmer Lake Road exit #315  located approx. 30 km north of Kamloops, and drive a short distance to the site. The access road may be closed in the winter.
