Kootenay Lake Provincial Park (Lost Ledge)

Kootenay Lake Provincial Park is divided into several separate areas located at various points along the 100-km long Kootenay Lake. Its two vehicle accessible campgrounds, Davis Creek and Lost Ledge, are located on the northwest shore of Kootenay Lake and are reached via Highway 31 north of Kaslo. Both campgrounds offer lakeside camping with stunning views of the Purcell Mountains across the lake. These locations are favoured by those seeking a quiet and relaxing camping experience in a beautiful natural setting. Boating, canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, waterskiing, and swimming can be enjoyed in the lake. Fishing is also popular, as Kootenay Lake contains large kokanee, rainbow, bull, and Dolly Varden trout. The quaint town of Kaslo to the south of the park features a beautifully restored stern-wheeler, SS Moyie. Other nearby attractions include Cody Caves Provincial Park, where visitors can go on a guided spelunking tour, and Ainsworth Hot Springs with its unique horseshoe-shaped cave filled with hot mineral water.

Lost Ledge campground is located 25 km north of Kaslo on Highway 31 and offers 14 medium to large campsites.
