McDonald Creek Provincial Park

McDonald Creek Provincial Parks protects wildlife habitat on both the eastern and western shores of the Upper Arrow Lake, a long but narrow body of water wedged between two towering mountain ranges. The campground is located on the eastern shore and offers 46 campsites, most with excellent view of the lake. The campground has an extensive sandy beach greatly enjoyed by swimmers and sunbathers. Boating, canoeing, windsurfing, waterskiing, and fishing for kokanee, rainbow, and bull trout are popular activities on the Upper Arrow Lake. The portion of the park located on the western shore of Upper Arrow Lake also has several kilometres of sandy beaches and can be accessed by a private boat or by taking the free Arrow Park ferry 12 km south of the campground and then driving on an unpaved road or cycling to the park.
