Okanagan Lake Provincial Park

 

Okanagan Lake Provincial Park is extremely popular during the summer months when hundreds of families come here to enjoy the hot, sunny weather and swimming in the warm waters of Okanagan Lake. Two campgrounds, North and South, are located side by side on a hill slope overlooking the Okanagan Lake. Both campgrounds provide easy access to an excellent 1-km long pebbly beach. Other water-based sports that can be enjoyed here canoeing, kayaking, boating, waterskiing, windsurfing, and fishing. Due to the popularity of this park, reservations are highly recommended.

Fees

Vehicle Accessible Camping Fee: $24.00 per party / night.

BC Senior Rate (Labour Day to June 14 only): $12.00 per senior couple/night.

Operation Dates

North Campground: Campground opening and closing dates: May 15 – September 22. Campground dates with full fees and services: May 15 – September 22. Campground reservable dates: May 15 – September 6.

South Campground: This campground is accessible for camping year round, by services such as water and firewood are not offered during the off-season. Campground dates with full fees and services: April 1 – October 13. Campground reservable dates: May 14 – September 6.

The North Campground has 80 sites, including nine double sites. This campground is laid out in a series of three terraces overlooking Okanagan Lake. The sites are large and well spaced with lawn and trees in between for improved privacy. The South Campground has 88 sites. This is a very different campground than the North Campground. All of the sites are at lake level and very close together though there is variation in site layout.

Various freshwater fish are available in Okanagan Lake. The daily quota for rainbow trout is 2 (only one over 50cm) and there is no fishing for kokanee. Single barbless hook restriction.
