Shuswap Lake Provincial Park

Shuswap Lake Provincial Park, located on the north shore of Shuswap Lake, has one of the largest campgrounds in BC, with 272 vehicle accessible campsites. This ultra-popular park offers more than 1 km of sandy beach on the main arm of the massive Shuswap Lake, which is the focus of recreational activities at this park. A number of water-based activities can be enjoyed here: swimming, paddling, boating, waterskiing, snorkeling, windsurfing and fishing are all excellent. Canoeists and kayakers can paddle to Copper Island, located 2 km offshore, where they will find a scenic 2.8 km hiking trail. The vast majority of the campsites offered at this park are spacious and well-shaded. The North Shuswap area offers dozens of commercial recreation opportunities. There is a store across the road from the park entrance that offers groceries and supplies. As this campground is extremely popular in July and August, reservations are highly recommended.
