Tamihi Creek Recreation Site

 

This recreation site is located at the confluence of Chilliwack River and Tamihi Creek. The large open grassy area is suitable for all types of RVs; there are also tenting sites located among deciduous trees. The Trans Canada Trail is within an easy access from this site. ATV use is allowed, but no dirt bikes are permitted. This site is particularly popular with anglers during the salmon run in summer and fall.

Access By: Road (RV accessible)

 From Vancouver, drive east on Highway 1 and take exit 119A, tthen drive south on Vedder Rd. Turn left onto Chilliwack Lake Road just before the Chilliwack River bridge and drive for 12 km.

Reservations can be made by contacting the agreement holder Monday-Wednesday 6-9pm at (604) 858-0020. Reservations will not be taken further than 1 month in advance.

Site closed (gated) after the Thanksgiving long weekend until May 1st, open for April Long weekend each year.

There are a lot of ATV trails in the area, as well as whitewater rafting/kayaking on Chilliwack river, and fishing. The site was packed when we visited on Aug 3.
