Ten Mile Lake Provincial Park

 

Ten Mile Lake Provincial Park, located 12 km north of Quesnel, offers a wide array of recreational activities that can be enjoyed by the entire family and is popular with both locals and visitors. Swimming in Ten Mile Lake can be enjoyed from three sandy beaches at this park; the lake is also excellent for canoeing, kayaking, boating, and waterskiing. Ten Mile Lake is stocked with rainbow trout and kokanee, and fishing is reputed to be very good here. The park has a total of 10 km of fairly easy trails for the use of hikers and bikers. A self-guided nature trail offers an opportunity to see a large beaver lodge and several beaver dams. In the winter, this park is popular for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing, and ice skating.

There are two campgrounds at this park. Lakeside, with 60 campsites, is situated on the shore of Ten Mile Lake, while Touring, with 82 sites (including 21 double and 22 pull-through sites), is located a short distance away in a forested area.

Fees

Lakeside campground: Vehicle Accessible Camping Fee: $19.00 per party / night. BC Senior Rate (Labour Day to June 14 only): $9.50 per senior couple/night.   

Touring campground: Vehicle Accessible Camping Fee: $15.00 per party / night. BC Senior Rate (Labour Day to June 14 only): $7.50 per senior couple/night.   

Operation Dates

During the camping season, the park gate is locked between 11:00pm and 7:00am.

Lakeside campground: Campground opening and closing dates: May 15 - September 30  (campground gate is closed in the off-season, but the day-use area and park trails are accessible year-round).  Campground dates with full fees and services: May 15 - September 30. Campground reservable dates: May 18 - September 4.

Touring campground: Campground opening and closing dates: June - September (campground gate is closed in the off-season, but the day-use area and park trails are accessible year-round).  Campground dates with full fees and services: June - September. Campsite reservations are not available at Touring campground.
