Wells Gray Provincial Park (Pyramid)

Wells Gray Provincial Park encompasses over 540,000 hectares of spectacular wilderness and contains snowcapped mountains, alpine meadows, glaciers, numerous lakes, rivers, streams, and several magnificent waterfalls. Boundless recreation opportunities exist at this park: hiking many kilometres of trails, canoeing and kayaking, fishing, swimming, horseback riding, and mountain biking are all excellent here. Guided canoeing tours, as well as hiking and horseback riding trips are available through a variety of commercial services in and near the park. The park’s most famous attraction, Helmcken Falls, are approximately three times the height of Niagara Falls. The park has three vehicle-accessible campgrounds: Clearwater / Falls Creek, Pyramid, and Mahood Lake, as well as several wilderness / canoe camping areas on Clearwater, Azure, Murtle, and Mahood Lakes.
