Duval Point Lodge

Duval Point Lodge, located on northern Vancouver Island near the town of Port Hardy, offers exceptional saltwater fishing opportunities for trophy salmon, halibut, snapper, ling cod, and other fish species. The resort is nested in a beautiful protected bay on the north end of the Johnstone Strait and offers relaxing vacation in the charming spirit of wilderness of Vancouver Island.

Duval Point is not only about catching a 50-pound salmon or a 200-pound halibut, but is also one of the best places to observe wildlife of the Pacific. Watch eagles, seals, otters, humpback whales that frequently pass by the lodge, or an occasional pod of killer whales. Some visitors even get to meet friendly dolphins that live in the area.

Accommodations at the resort consist of several conformable and cozy cabins. There are two floating lodges and four land based lodges each with spectacular ocean vistas. Every lodge has one or more bedrooms, a fully equipped modern kitchen, a living room, a bathroom with hot water and shower, bed linens, blankets, towels, dishes, cutlery, condiments, a BBQ, and a wood burning fireplace.

Duval Point provides 16.5ft aluminum boats with 30HP engines, and a variety of fishing gear and tackle for salmon and bottom fishing. There is also a fishing cleaning station at the floating lodge and several deep freezers for storing the fish. The resort’s friendly staff and hosts work in the lodge all day long and are ready to provide assistance to every guest.
